Hi folks,
Thanks to all of those who came along to our craft, co-work and chat session last weekend. It turned into a bit of a “ask the more experienced parents” sesh which was awesome. I love that we have a space to have nuanced chats instead of trawling the internet for non-existent individualised answers at 2am.
Our next event is book club on Saturday 2nd March at 4pm AEDT. Our text is “I’m Glad My Mom Died”, a memoir by now grown-up child star Jennette McCurdy. I’ve read it and it’s fascinating, engaging, horrifying and witty in equal parts and can’t wait to dissect it with you!

Aka “where did the time go?”
Welcome to week one of school term!
Backpacks are big, clothes are long, and “Light as a Bubble”1 is on peak rotation. Bleary-eyed mothers and parents of school starters across the country wonder what to do with their hands, feel proud and worried in varying measures, and generally wonder where the time has gone. Surely it was only yesterday that this person now heading through the school gates was a defenceless blob?
Many of our friends are assisting their kids to transition to school this year. This in combination with the fact my kid is now one of the eldest at preschool has led to a sudden jolt of panic on my part: oh shit, next year it will be us.
